Since then BIO
I have been working in theatre, circus, special events and window display since 2003, after finishing a BFA in Theatre at the University of Victoria. Past contracts in costume & set design, scenic painting, props, puppets & wardrobe have been with Mortal Coil Performance Society, Caravan Stage Company, Young People’s Theatre, Sudbury Theatre Centre, Factory Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Resurgence Theatre, Preface Theatre, Festival Players, Zero Gravity Circus and various commissioned projects. I enjoy doing special events and window decoration as well, freelancing for Holt Renfrew, Cirque du Soleil, and various event companies since 2007. In 2010 & 2011 I started working in outdoor theatre, as Artistic Producer with Clay & Paper Theatre, while doing a certificate in Design for Arts & Entertainment at the Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University. In 2012/13 I co-produced, directed & designed 3 short new plays for kids with Frolick Theatre. “Adventures in Slumberland” was presented daily at the outdoor Lagoon Theatre on Toronto Islands in July & August 2012, remounted at the Fedora Upside Down Festival Oct. 6 2012, and subsequent summers 2013 & 2014. I spent summer 2013 working as an arts facilitator in the kids' program "Spiral Garden" at Holland Bloorview Kid's Rehab Hospital. In 2014 I joined the Caravan Stage Company on their tall ship/theatre, the Amara Zee, as a mask-maker, costumer, painter, and dogsbody in Jacksonville, FL, followed by the same in 2015, in Brooklyn, NY.
In January 2016 I moved back to BC to pursue my multi-arts career closer to my family. Since then I have focused my work on scenic painting and sculpture, and continued my work as a performer on stilts.
